Pg 5 - THE 'EYES' HAVE IT

THIS IS MY BOO
AND THE EYES HAVE IT

I mean. Don't they?

His eyes make me turn to mush.

I am a big dish of REALLY HOT
PORRIDGE when I look at those

eyes.

The minute I saw this pic of him, I was

struck by their beauty. 

Their intensity, their passion. 

Their kindness and compassion.

The remarkable intelligence displayed

and easily seen by even the most casual

observer.

THEY MOVED ME THEN.

THEY STILL DO.

It is said that the eyes are the windows

to the soul. I truly believe that.

They are a gateway to the wonders 

that lay deep inside the person. 

Of course you must understand. 

I know Shamal. 

I know he is beautiful inside. 

Oh the outside 

is nice to be sure

but anyone who knows me knows...

I rarely pay much if any attention 

to someone's outside.

Ok, two eyes...

one on either side.

YUP, that works.

Nose, good.

Mouth...we shall see.

NOT obese.

Good. NOW!

Let's get on to the good stuff.

See, all that outside stuff tells you 

NOTHING about WHO 

this person IS.

NOTHING.

Except Chris Christie. 

HIS outside tells me 

he can't shut his mouth...

cause he is always putting food in it.

 But how tall or how short or how old or how

this or that...what does ANY of that stuff

SAY about WHO someone is?

NOTHING.

SAYS NOTHING about their interests, 

their values and beliefs, the things you 

might or might not share in common, 

now does it...

AND

anyone who thinks they can determine

anything meaningful or even useful

from the shallow superficial bullpucky

that so many people focus on today is

DELUSIONAL at best.

NONE OF THAT MEANS ANYTHING 

OF CONSEQUENCE.

I don't give a shit if you are tall or short.

Are you kind? 

Are you caring and compassionate? 

DO YOU HAVE A HEART?

I could care less if you are blue-eyed 

or brown-eyed. Long as you got at least one 

and it isn't in the middle of your forehead. KEWL.

If you are 21 or 81 who cares.

HOWEVER MANY YEARS 

you have spent on earth? 

That is all someone's age tells you, 

BUT,

what about what have they 

DONE 

with their time here.

Have they made the most of life or wasted it?

What have they learned so far? What has life taught them about LIFE? Humanity?

See, the mere knowledge of a STAT tells you nothing and never will.  I will look beyond 

the surface and explore the 

inside of someone. ALWAYS. 

CAUSE, THAT is where the good stuff is.

I want the occupant of the house, 

NOT just the front porch.

The fact that someone has brown eyes 

says one thing. 

THEY HAVE BROWN EYES.

Big fucking deal.
